Spending the last two years on an Art & Design college course has meant not having much time for myself and my own work. As much as I appreciate the advice and support I have been given by various tutors at Blackburn College, I am now content with focusing my time on my own projects based on areas that interest me.
Before moving on to University, I plan to spend the next year building up a portfolio of work that will highlight my strengths and skills, made up of work that I can say I am happy with.
Experimentation is still something I continue to explore. It wasn't until recently that I picked up a paintbrush without feeling anxious. I was someone who was afraid to step out of their comfort zone and expand on their use of media. The majority of my work was made using pencil and biro as I never had confidence in my painting skills. Until now.
